Anyone else start creative projects and then let them sit half finished for over a year?
In the summer of 2013, my husband, our dog, and I took a road trip from Florida to Seattle and back. We hit a bunch of national parks and 21 states in 20 days. I think we travelled around 6800 miles, and the last day we tag-teamed and drove 1000 of those miles from Iowa to Florida. That was one helluva day.
Anyways, after I got back I was sick of driving and moving and thinking, so I didn’t start on our scrapbook, although I did blog about some of it ( here, here, here, and here). After a while, I got sick of blogging about it as well.
I started this project over a year ago, and put it off. Every once in a while I’d get an email from Shutterfly stating they had their photo books on sale (yet again). I’d put another picture or two in place, and then I’d leave it alone for another month or two. It got so bad and I felt so unmotivated, I actually had to name it as one of my 101 in 1001 goals just so I’d get it done.
Today, finally, I sat down and cranked the rest of it out. I went to Shutterfly to order some 8×10 prints, and I found that they had a 30% sale on photo books and free shipping for orders over $39. If I finished the book, I would exceed the limit and get my free shipping.
So I did 🙂 Finally, my 100th goal is complete, and I have a wonderful photo book to remind me of our first road trip and camping trip as a couple.
