It’s been a good week

It’s been a pretty good week, I have to admit.

First things first – we’re finally getting a screened in porch installed! I have to wait a few more weeks for installation, but it’ll be put in just in time for yellow fly season. Hallelujah.

Secondly, my animals have been so wonderful this week. They usually are, but Darcy (my male cat) had 4 teeth removed about two weeks ago and has been such a grump. I don’t blame him – I was pretty miserable after my wisdom teeth removal, too. But the other day everyone was just so great, and I even caught Ellie and Darcy napping together 🙂

Awwwww...how cute is this?!?

My knitting project is also coming along quite nicely. I’m working on a colorblock bias blanket for a sweet baby that’s coming into the world soon. I’m working with superwash merino wool, so it’s both soft AND machine washable.

These colors are just lovely...from left to right: Cilantro & butter (Plymouth Yarn); denim heather, candy pink, lavender, pale blue, & silver heather (Cascade Yarns).

I also spent two hour last week in a gardening class. I learned a lot, and I’m hoping my Spring garden will be very productive. I planted some romaine lettuce a few days ago, and my collards are still growing like crazy. I’ve never cooked collards before, but I’m going to try it tonight. I’ve heard great things, so I’m excited!

Grow baby grow!

Also! My blog was selected for a Liebster Award! I’ll have to post more on that later, but I’m so thrilled and honored to have been picked 🙂

Happy Thursday, y’all!
